Let me ask you a question... what marketing systems do you have in place in your MSP?
I sat down to write my LinkedIn newsletter today. And then realised that it would be edition 157. Put another way, last week I completed 3 solid years of doing a LinkedIn newsletter every single Thursday.
Those 3 years went by soooooo fast...
Haven't missed a single week. Today is the start of year 4.
And it's been worth the hundreds of hours invested, as I'm rapidly approaching 4,000 subscribers. That's a very valuable, engaged, second audience on LinkedIn.
This has not happened by chance, of course. I know that consistency counts a LOT in marketing. So I have systems in place to make this weekly newsletter easy. Including systems for:
- Capturing, recording and organising the ideas that come to me every time I talk to an MSP
- Protecting time to think and write every week
- Making sure my team loads and publishes this newsletter if I'm away
Let me ask you a question... what marketing systems do you have in place in your MSP?
I'm sure you have many operational systems. But what about your marketing?
The good news is that...
😃 Marketing is a science not an art 😃
EVERYTHING in marketing can be broken down into a series of tasks that other people can do for you.
As the owner or manager of the business, you do the tasks 2-3 times. Only so you can decide the way you want them to be done.
Then you build a Standard Operating Procedure for each task. And delegate or outsource it.
Here are some resources to help you with this:
✅ FREE: This is a good article I did about marketing systems a few years ago.
✅ LOW COST: My new book MSP marketing: Start Here is a 60 min read on this very idea.
✅ HIGH VALUE: My MSP Marketing Edge service takes that further, by breaking each task into simple steps (and giving you all the marketing content you need to complete each step).
