I'm delighted to be delivering the keynote marketing talk at ScaleCon 24. Here are all the details - including how to get $50 off your ticket

I know there are lots of events in the Channel that you can go to, including MSP marketing conferences. But ScaleCon is something different.

It's the first ever event from The Tech Tribe and MSP Camp, happening in Las Vegas in early October 2024.

I'm privileged to be delivering the keynote marketing talk at the end of day one (my US speaking debut). And over a series of video calls with the organisers I've seen what they have planned. If you're serious about growing your MSP... you are going to love it 😃

Every time I've spoken to MSPs in the last few weeks they've asked me questions about it. Here are all the answers I have - if you have more questions please email me and I'll update this article.

What is this event?

ScaleCon is the first BIG multi-speaker MSP marketing event. Hundreds of MSPs will be attending from across the world. The organisers guarantee there will be no fluff and no pitching at all (and I believe them as I've seen the schedule).

You can immerse yourself for three days in growing your MSP... and you will leave with very actionable information.

When and where is it?

It's at The Linq hotel on the Las Vegas strip from 2nd to 4th October 2024. I will be at the event for all three days.

How do I get tickets and do you have a discount code?

Register on the official ScaleCon website. As a speaker I can help you get $50 off your ticket, whichever tier you choose. Just enter GREEN50 in the checkout.

Do I need to book my own hotel room?

Yes you do. There are no rooms blocked at The Linq. It's on the strip and there are TONS of rooms available nearby. Book your own transport and room, easy.

Which hotel are you staying in, Paul?

I'm not telling you that! My security team would never forgive me 🤣 I booked a small suite just down the road.

Why would I go?

If you are determined to grow your MSP this is an unmissable event. You'll enjoy a procession of big name MSP marketing and sales experts delivering the best information.

Across the 3 days you'll be surrounded by other ambitious MSP owners just like you, who also want to grow their business. You'll also meet many of the big marketing names from the channel.

You can fly home after a few days away working ON your business, with a clear action plan.

What subject are you speaking about Paul?

I'm speaking at the end of the first day (the marketing day) and my session is called "wanna take your kids on a dream Disney vacation? Marketing can make it happen".

In my explosive closing keynote, I'll take everything you've heard about marketing throughout the day - and build your burning desire to make it happen in your business.

You'll see the critical link between the marketing actions you take (or don't take)... and your ability to be the best parent and partner. You'll finish this first ScaleCon day buzzing about the possibilities of growing your MSP. Woohoo!

You can see the full agenda here.

What other sessions and speakers are there?

Loads! Day two is on sales, and day three is workshops.

The speakers have all been hand picked - unlike most conferences you can't buy a speaking slot, which is GREAT for quality. Here are some of the other big names attending and speaking. Many of them have appeared in my podcast and I'll link to their episode:

Is Nigel Moore from Tech Tribe attending?

UPDATED 8TH SEPTEMBER 2024: Originally Nigel wasn't planning to, but now he is. Hooray! Nigel wrote: "I originally wasn't going because we've been having some "kid" challenges at home (if you're a parent, I'm sure you know the drill). However, we've worked out a (creative) way to handle the challenges and I can now make it."

This is great news, right!

Are the sponsors speaking?

100% no. One of the things that makes conferences tedious is the sponsors shuffling onto stage to bore us with their product. ScaleCon has banned that.

The sponsors will have booths so you can visit them, but no automatic speaking slots. I understand a few have submitted speaking requests which will be judged on merit - and with zero pitching from the stage.

Explain the different tiers to me

The early bird tickets are now all sold out. This leaves two tiers of tickets, standard and VIP. The standard ticket includes full access to all 3 days, continental breakfast and lunch.

The VIP ticket has that, and also:

  • Dedicated VIP room and special networking (people not cables 😃)
  • VIP trip out Wednesday and dinner at Hells Kitchen Thursday
  • Swag bag

Register on the official ScaleCon website. To get $50 off your ticket, whichever tier you choose, enter GREEN50 in the checkout.

What's the exact schedule across the three days?

You can see the full agenda here.

What fun is planned?

For the people with VIP tickets, there's a trip out on Wednesday and dinner at Hells Kitchen on Thursday. I'm not planning to be involved in either of these events.

I understand some of the sponsors are putting on their own fun events, details TBC.

Are you putting on an MSP Marketing Edge member meetup?

No. It's just me flying to Vegas (my team are sad not to have a free trip to the US), and I want to focus on giving the best value during everything I do during the three days of the event.

Can we meet for a beer?

You bet! If you're an MSP Marketing Edge member or you know me, please drop me an email to say you're going. I'm keeping a growing list of people I must meet in real life for the first time.

I should warn you, I'm going to be a little shorter in real life than I look on video 🤣

Aren't Tech Tribe and MSP Camp competitors of yours?

Yes they are. Both provide high quality marketing content, just as we do. But we all do it our different ways. For example I wrap our content in my easy 3 step lead generation system.

Look at the speaker list and you'll see lots of people whose businesses are all in competition with each other. We are all friendly competitors because it's a very big channel and there are more than enough MSPs out there for us all to work with.

Massive kudos to Nigel at Tech Tribe for fostering an environment over the last decade that has made it easy for multiple competitors to collaborate and work together for the mutual benefit of everyone, MSPs and vendors alike. I don't know of another sector where that could happen, do you?
