We get so much more done in the week before Christmas, don't we?
You tick more things off your list than Santa (almost).
And - like Santa - it's because you have an immovable deadline. Christmas is going to happen whether we like it or not.
But what if you could harness all that pre-holiday power, and use it all year round?
Well, you can. It's actually possible to trick yourself throughout the whole year into that state of super-productivity, by behaving the way you do this week in December.
We both know you're going to act differently this week.
You're going to say no to more things.
You're going to ignore or switch off your notifications.
You're not going to reply to every single email.
In fact, you might be a bit naughty (we all do this, by the way) and put your out of office notification on three days before you actually leave the office (don't worry, you won't end up on Santa's naughty list. Probably.).
You're going to say, 'No, no, no!', not 'ho ho ho.' Leave that up to the big man. Boom boom.
You're going to be head down focused on GTD, aka Getting Things Done.
That's the real gift you can give yourself this year- the productivity superpower. Remember, it's not just for Christmas.
